Every month will focus on a theme such as fabric, notion, technique, tool, or a well-known vintage theme.
Examples of monthly themes include Mother-of-Pearl Buttons, pincushions, bandanas, gingham, redwork embroidery, and crazy quilting just to name a few. Here is what is included in the membership:
- Foundational Resources and ebooks to help you understand the terms and techniques used throughout the membership. (Two ebooks–$30 value)
- A monthly sewing project with printable instructions and pattern as well as a video tutorial.
- A history lesson or a “field trip” to a related destination or museum exhibit.
- Inspirational guest interviews with makers who create with vintage items in unique ways.
- An exclusive look into my own collection of vintage modern makes and rare, historical home arts publications.
- An online community where you can share your passion for collecting and crafting with other members. Two options are available: a members-only Facebook group and the ability to comment and interact with members inside the membership platform.

Do I have to join the Facebook group?
No, the private Facebook group is optional. You do not need a Facebook account to join the membership.
When will I be able to access monthly videos and projects?
Immediately when you join, you will be given access to your Foundational Resources. The first monthly project will be available the first week of February, and you will receive an email notification when it is live. Monthly content will be available in the first week of every month.
How will I receive my monthly content?
Every month when content is posted you will go to your login at VintageModernMakers.com. Your member’s login is created when you register as a new member. You will also receive a members-only newsletter via email letting you know when new content is available.
How much will I need to spend on project supplies?
Our goal is to keep projects as affordable as possible. On average you might expect to spend around $10–$15 on project supplies.
Do I need to be tech-savvy?
The membership site will contain all the videos and downloads that come with your membership. As long as you can navigate and login to the site, you shouldn’t need any extra tech skills.
